Catalysed decomposition
Hydrogen peroxide decomposes to water and oxygen. Compare the rate with and without a catalyst.

- Choose a catalyst (or none).
- For MnO₂, move the surface-area slider from lumps to fine powder.
- Watch the gas volume collected and the volume-against-time graph.
- Press “Restart” and repeat with another catalyst.
What to notice
- A catalyst makes the graph steeper (faster), but the final volume of O₂ is the same.
- Powder beats lumps: more surface is exposed.
